Introduction

My name is Shaun Mastroianni, and I'm honored to be running to represent the 20th District of Bozrah, East Lyme, Montville, New London, Old Saybrook, Old Lyme, Salem and Waterford in the Connecticut State Senate. 

I reside in the beautiful town of Old Lyme with my loving husband Antonio, our bright and spirited daughter Sophia, and our energetic dog Bruno. As a father, healthcare executive, and small business owner, I have a unique perspective on the challenges that hardworking families, seniors, and taxpayers face every day. 

My commitment is to fight for the extraordinary results our communities deserve, and to stand firmly against the broken politics that have plagued Hartford for far too long.

Professional Background

I have spent a significant part of my career operating senior care facilities, which has provided me with invaluable insights into the needs of nurses, doctors, employees, and, most importantly, the patients. 

I have seen firsthand the red tape and bureaucratic hurdles that can impede progress and quality care. My mission has always been to eliminate these barriers and streamline processes to benefit everyone involved.

This past legislative session, I had the privilege of working alongside Senator Somers to advocate for patients' rights, ensuring that individuals are not discriminated against for receiving mental health services. This was a passion project for me, and as your State Senator, I will continue to advocate tirelessly for comprehensive policies that enhance the quality of life for all residents in our district.
